SECOVE Presented at “Green and Digital transition as a growth driver for Greek businesses” local Event
On November 28, 2022, the SECOVE project was presented during the local event “Road to Green Growth for SMEs & VET” in Piraeus, Greece. The event was jointly organised by IDEC S.A. and the Piraeus Chamber of Small and Medium Sized Industries (BEP).
The event aimed to inform enterprises about the shift towards green development and the improvement of employees’ digital skills, addressing two of the most pressing challenges facing SMEs today.
During the event, the SECOVE project was presented to an audience of SMEs, VET providers, and regional stakeholders. Attendees learned about the project’s core mission: establishing a network of national Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) in Greece, Spain, Slovakia, Italy, and Portugal, with a dedicated focus on the sustainable energy sector.
The presentation highlighted how SECOVE aims to encourage the uptake of innovative and qualitative learning opportunities, oriented towards the development of skills, competencies, and the achievement of qualifications in the energy sector. The project’s emphasis on bridging the gap between VET providers and industry resonated strongly with the attending SMEs, many of whom are seeking skilled workers to support their own green transitions.
