National Workshop in Slovakia 2022 – Workshop “Centres of Vocational Excellence for Sustainable Energy”
The workshop “Centres of Vocational Excellence for Sustainable Energy” was held on 25 November 2022 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University of Košice, within the framework of the ERASMUS+ project Sustainable Energy Centres of Vocational Excellence (SECOVE, Project No. 101056201).
The event brought together more than 30 experts and stakeholders from secondary and higher education institutions, vocational education and training (VET) centres, companies, clusters, non-governmental organisations, and professional associations. Participants engaged in discussions on the topic “How to achieve excellence in vocational education and training”, sharing perspectives, experiences, and ideas for strengthening the quality, relevance, and impact of VET in the field of sustainable energy.
The outcomes of the workshop will be further presented and discussed at a transnational workshop in Greece, contributing to broader international exchange and cooperation among project partners and relevant stakeholders.
The main objective of the SECOVE project is to establish a platform of Centres of Vocational Excellence across five European countries, aimed at promoting a European culture of innovation, inclusiveness, and excellence in the field of sustainable and renewable energy. The platform is built on transnational dialogue and cooperation among local VET providers, business organisations, public authorities, and other relevant stakeholders, with the goal of ensuring a high level of collaboration between vocational education and industry.
