Winner of the RISE competition in Greece 

The SECOVE “RISE” competition, was organized by SAEK DELTA in collaboration with IDEC S.A. under the Entrepreneurship Academy in March 2026. The competition was open and gathered the participation of students from SAEK DELTA, SAEK AIGALEO and Vocational High schools (EPALs) from different areas across Attica. The competition managed to attract 10 students in total (6 girls & 4 boys), who successfully submitted their 6 research projects. 

The winning research project was titled “Solar Bus Stand with Digital Update, WiFi and Device Charging” by Amalia Fantaki.  The project proposes the transformation of current bus stops into “smart” stops, fully energy-autonomous hubs that are powered by solar energy. The idea integrates photovoltaic panels, WiFi connection, USB charging ports and low-consumption LED lights. The idea is designed in a way to make it easier for municipalities to showcase live schedules, relevant announcements, and emergency alerts while generating revenue from advertisements. 

The aim of this initiative was to support and showcase the work of young entrepreneurs, who wanted to turn their ideas into practical solutions. We want to congratulate all participants for their submitted works and innovative projects, as every student contributed with their own different perspectives on sustainable energy.
