GAIA strengthens European cooperation on skills for sustainable energy through SECOVE
GAIA took part in a working meeting of the SECOVE – Sustainable Energy Centres of Vocational Excellence project, an Erasmus+ initiative aimed at creating a European cooperation network among Centres of Vocational Excellence in the field of sustainable energy.
The meeting brought together the project partner organisations to review the progress of ongoing activities, share the advances made by the different regional hubs and coordinate the next steps for the final phase of the project. The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between vocational education and training centres, companies, research organisations and public stakeholders, with the common goal of preparing professionals to address the energy and digital transitions.
During the session, the participating organisations discussed key areas such as the development of green skills, innovation hubs, stakeholder engagement within the ecosystem, training methodologies and the long-term sustainability of the SECOVE network. The meeting also served to align the upcoming actions.
For GAIA, SECOVE represents an opportunity to contribute its experience as a cluster of technology and knowledge-based industries, connecting companies, training centres and innovation ecosystems around the skills needed for renewable energies, digitalisation and sustainable competitiveness.
The results of today’s meeting will contribute to the project’s upcoming milestones and help consolidate SECOVE as a leading European network in vocational excellence for sustainable energy.
