GAIA strengthens European cooperation in sustainable energy skills through SECOVE
GAIA took part today in a new SECOVE project meeting, reinforcing its commitment to vocational excellence, innovation and the green transition across Europe.
Today, GAIA participated in a working meeting of the SECOVE – Sustainable Energy Centres of Vocational Excellence project, an Erasmus+ initiative aimed at creating a European cooperation network of Centres of Vocational Excellence in the field of sustainable energy.
The meeting brought together project partners to review the progress of ongoing activities, share advances from the different regional hubs and coordinate the next steps for the final phase of the project. Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between vocational education and training providers, companies, research organisations and public stakeholders, with the common goal of preparing professionals for the energy and digital transitions.
During the session, partners addressed key areas such as green skills development, innovation hubs, stakeholder engagement, training methodologies and the long-term sustainability of the SECOVE network.
For GAIA, SECOVE represents an opportunity to contribute its experience as a technology and knowledge industry cluster, connecting companies, training centres and innovation ecosystems around the skills required for renewable energy, digitalisation and sustainable competitiveness.
The outcomes of today’s meeting will support the next project milestones and help consolidate SECOVE as a European reference network for vocational excellence in sustainable energy.
