Talents Today and Tomorrow: Preparing the Present and Projecting the Future of Energy

Energaia organised an online event under the theme ‘Talents Today and Tomorrow: Preparing the Present, Shaping the Future’. The session brought together representatives from companies and vocational training providers, with the aim of presenting learning resources and fostering the establishment of new bilateral partnerships in the sustainable energy sector.

The event featured a diverse agenda, starting with a presentation of the SECOVE project’s European dimension and strategic objectives, highlighting the central role of partnerships between companies and training centres. This was followed by a practical demonstration of the SECOVE Academy platform, showcasing the available learning materials, including videos, virtual reality content, and interactive quizzes. The results of surveys conducted among companies and training centres were also shared, providing an up-to-date view of sector needs.

A key moment of the session was Energaia’s presentation of a practical case: a pilot project for the installation of sustainable energy systems at a school in Vila Nova de Gaia. This example served as a basis for a guided discussion on aligning learners skills with real market requirements. The event concluded with a formal invitation for the participating organisations to express interest in future collaborations, reinforcing the project’s impact on modernising the vocational training system.
