SECOVE Presented at the DISCUSS Learning 2023

On October 24-25, 2023, the annual DISCUSS Learning Conference took place at the Stratos Vassilikos Hotel in Athens, bringing together educators, researchers, and industry professionals under the overarching theme of “Digital Skills and the Labour Market”. The two-day event explored digital competencies across various economic sectors, with a special focus on applications in the green and blue economy.

As the programme moved into the green economy sessions, the focus shifted to practical applications and innovative educational approaches.

The project was presented to conference participants, highlighting SECOVE’s core mission to establish a network of national Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) in Greece, Spain, Slovakia, Italy, and Portugal, with a dedicated focus on the sustainable energy sector.

Attendees learned how SECOVE promotes innovative, high-quality learning opportunities with a focus towards developing green skills and competencies. The project’s emphasis on transnational cooperation and its commitment to strengthening women’s presence in the sustainable energy sector resonated strongly with the conference’s broader discussions on digital inclusion and labour market relevance.
