Politeknika Txorierri presents international sustainability projects at HETEL’s Agenda 2030 working group meeting
Politeknika Txorierri took part in a meeting of HETEL’s Agenda 2030 working group, held with the participation of more than 30 representatives from Vocational Education and Training centres. The session focused on sustainability, the Sustainable Development Goals and the role of VET centres in supporting the green transition through education, innovation and collaboration.
During the meeting, participants discussed the implications of the Energy Transition and Climate Change Law, as well as the objectives of the working group and the main actions to be developed in the coming months. The exchange allowed the participating centres to reflect on how sustainability can be integrated more effectively into institutional strategies, training activities and collaborative initiatives.
Politeknika Txorierri also presented several international projects linked to sustainability, social initiatives, development and innovation, including AI & Sustainability, PROFF, Circular STEM, GoGreen, GenZ4GreenDeal and SECOVE. The aim was to share the materials, methodologies and results developed within these projects and make them available to other VET centres, promoting transferability and wider use across the network.
Special attention was given to SECOVE, as the project is working towards the creation of a broader ecosystem that connects VET centres, companies, clusters and other key stakeholders around sustainable energy and innovation. Through initiatives such as the SECOVE portal, the project aims to support cooperation, visibility and knowledge-sharing, while strengthening the role of VET in the green and digital transition.
