Held on April 28, 2026, the National SECOVE Competition in Slovakia brought together students to present innovative ideas in sustainable construction, as well as green and energy solutions, supporting vocational excellence and the development of green skills.

The National SECOVE Competition took place at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Technical University of Košice, gathering students, educators, and experts in the field of sustainable construction and green energy innovation.
The event provided a platform for students to present their projects addressing key challenges related to sustainability in the built environment. The presented solutions focused on energy efficiency, sustainable materials, water management, and climate-resilient design.
The competition encouraged participants to apply their knowledge in practice, develop innovative approaches, and respond to current environmental challenges. It also supported the development of green and digital skills, which are essential for the future of the construction sector.
Beyond the competition itself, the event created valuable opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange between academia and practice, strengthening cooperation among stakeholders involved in education and innovation.
The best projects were awarded in three categories, recognizing their creativity, technical quality, and contribution to sustainability.
This activity contributes to the objectives of the SECOVE project by promoting vocational excellence, supporting innovation in education, and engaging young people in sustainability topics.
