Observatory on Inclusiveness
and Attractiveness of VET

The SECOVE Observatory is dedicated to promote inclusive educational and professional practices. Its primary goal is to ensure that the principles of inclusivity and equity are integrated into the project’s activities and outcomes, contributing to a learning and working environment that embraces and values diversity. In this regards it includes learning and teaching resources for teachers, trainers, counsellors and VET organizations.

About

The SECOVE observatory focuses on the inclusiveness and attractiveness of VET practices, specifically on women’s participation in STEM and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET). The Observatory includes practices, methods, and governance schemes essential to guarantee an inclusive approach to VET and improve VET attractiveness for girls and women, specifically regarding technical qualifications, especially in the energy efficiency sector.

The SECOVE Observatory is applied in 5 European countries: Greece, Spain, Italy, Slovakia and Portugal.

The Observatory includes a set of shared criteria and indicators for VET inclusiveness towards fragile and marginalized target groups and VET attractiveness towards women (both in technical qualifications/areas). It also contains learning and teaching resources which are addressed to teachers, trainers, counselors, and VET organizations with the aim of educating and raising awareness on women’s/girls’ participation in VET and STEM. At the same time, data and resources are available for external stakeholders to see and download.
